The Perfect Finish to Your Thanksgiving Feast

The Perfect Finish to Your Thanksgiving Feast

You’ve gone through all the work and planning to create a mouthwatering family feast. Serving the right coffee to your guests will not only bring out the flavours of your dessert, it will also provide an unforgettable finish to the meal.

The “cornucopia” spirit of Thanksgiving may tempt you to serve up multiple side dishes, desserts, and, you guessed it, coffee. However, if your party is large, it’s definitely easier to select one coffee and brewing method — so you can spend more time with your family and friends. If you can only choose one: a dark, rich, full-bodied coffee tends to be the best option for the Thanksgiving meal. Traditional flavours include cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, nutmeg, and other flavourful dishes and desserts, and a full-bodied coffee can really complement these robust flavours. Try our classic Sumatra: it has earthy, smoky and syrupy notes, and a very full body.

Or, if you have a smaller party, or guests who prefer more delicate, bright coffees, try offering our classic Canopy Bird. It has the rich, full body similar to our Sumatra, but is medium dark roasted and has a pleasant up-front acidity. For those who enjoy sugar in their coffee, you can also add a bit of homemade pumpkin spice syrup to your Canopy Bird coffee, for a festive touch.
