Every fall, we handpick organic, fair trade beans from around the world and blend them to create a small-batch coffee for the holidays. It’s an annual tradition. But 2016 is extra special. With this year’s limited-edition Celebration Blend, we’re capturing the magic of the season *and* honouring 20 years of world-changing coffee. The holidays are here and it’s our 20th anniversary.
What to expect
Our 2016 Celebration Blend is a medium-dark roast featuring beans from Honduras and Uganda. Look for hints of chocolate, nuts and spice as you drink. An initial burst of brightness gives way to spicy notes and a taste of bittersweet cocoa. If you want to coax out this coffee’s subtle nuttiness and enhance its chocolate flavour, add a touch of dairy to your final brew.
How to brew it
Our Celebration Blend tastes great no matter how you brew it, but different devices highlight different features of the blend. Brew it in your trusty French press to emphasize the sweet chocolate notes from the Honduran beans or try it in a Chemex (our favourite!) to accentuate the bright, spicy flavours of the Ugandan beans.

Celebration Blend is available in our cafés, our online shop and at select grocery stores including Quality Foods, Country Grocer, Fairway Market, The Market Stores, Western Foods, Save-On-Foods and Urban Fare—now through December 31 (or until the holiday magic runs out).
