Lattes for the Coast
On Friday, November 21 we are proud to support Pull Together, an empowered group of First Nations, community groups and people that are raising money to support the legal challenges against Northern Gateway. 100% of latte sales at our Ganges Cafes will go to their work fighting a project that threatens the oceans, wildlife, communities and coastal economy of BC. Visit us on Salt Spring Island at our Ganges cafe and support the fight against the Northern Gateway Project.
In spring 2014, community groups in Smithers and Terrace got together to raise money to support First Nation legal challenges against Enbridge. Northern groups approached Sierra Club BC and RAVEN Trust for assistance, and the result is the Pull Together campaign. These communities know firsthand what was at stake, and the power of standing together with First Nations. It’s a tangible way individuals, communities and businesses can provide financial support to First Nations and moral support to everyone on the front lines against Enbridge.
UPDATE: In just one day we sold 100 lattes at our #gangescafe and raised just under $500 from sales. Salt Spring Coffee matched that number donating a total of $1,000 towards Pull Together’s work fighting against the Gateway Pipeline. Thank you for your support!
