Give a little to GROW more food for our community
Our friends at Sole Food Street Farms are asking for your help.
Sole Food transforms vacant urban land into ‘street farms’ that grow artisan quality fruits and vegetables. The mission of the organization is to empower individuals with limited resources by providing jobs, agricultural training and inclusion in a supportive community of farmers and food lovers. Sole Food marries innovative farming methods with concrete social goals.
Sole Food are trying to raise $100,000, which will be used to open two retail locations – one on Granville Island and one at the corner of Main and Terminal streets. With these outlets they can create new jobs for residents of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside and grow more food for our community.
Inspired by the people behind Sole Foods and the delicious, local produce they grow, we are proud to regularly support them as a part of our 1% for the Planet Membership. We are also a part of the kickoff party for the Help Sole Food Grow campaign!
Join us as we kickoff the Help Sole Food Grow crowdfunding campaign on Wednesday, May 14th from 6pm – 10pm at Make Studio in Vancouver.
The evening will feature our new cold brew on tap alongside local food by Elementa, local libations by 33 Acres and Long Table Distillery, as well as local live DJ Jayda Guy.
Tickets available online or at the door. Be the first to try our delicious, fair-to-farmer cold brew, and support
Of course, you can independently donate to the campaign. Just visithttp://www.solefoodfarms.com.
