Guatemala, Huehuetenango.When we introduced our single origin Guatemala, Huehuetenango in April of this year, it quickly became a staff favourite. I’m telling you, this coffee worked its way onto the table at almost every staff meeting we had this summer. And in this coffee-centric crowd, that means something.
We also made a point to routinely cup this coffee at our Friday 10 a.m. cupping sessions. New flavours and aromas came to life each time as the coffee matured between April and Sept. My roasting team and I cupped this coffee one last time on Sept. 16 (you can see our tasting notes online) and thought that the best way to say farewell to this excellent culinary single origin coffee (we've taken it down from our e-store) was to share it with our coffee subscription subscribers one final time.
Our hope, pending a fruitful Central American growing season, is to share our next Guatemalan coffee with you come Spring 2012.
