How to brew the perfect coffee with a Chemex
Easy instructions so that you brew it right, every time.
Boil 680g of fresh, filtered water and let it stand while you grind your beans. The ideal brewing temperature range is 92 – 96ºC (195 – 205ºF).
Use 48g of coffee. Grind medium-coarse.
Place filter in Chemex and rinse thoroughly with hot water.
Dump rinse water and add grounds to filter.
Start the timer. Soak grounds just until saturated. Wait 30 seconds.
Begin a stead and consistent pour. Entire length of pour and extraction is 4-5 minutes.
Remove filter. Swirl and enjoy!
