Our Classic Decaf is water processed and originates from Co-operativa Agraria Cafetalera (CAC) in Pangoa, Peru.
Situated in a fertile pocket high in the rugged and remote mountains on the edge of the Amazon Basin, the CAC is a farmer-run co-operative. Each member is an owner who lives, works and raises his or her family on the land.
We purchased one of their very first organic, fair trade containers in 2004 and loved it from the get-go. We have made a long-term commitment to continue to purchase most of our Peruvian coffee from the CAC, a truly exceptional group of coffee farmers.
