The David Suzuki Foundation (DSF) recently recognized Salt Spring Coffee Co. for their pioneering efforts to achieve carbon neutrality across their business.  In their recently published report "Doing Business in a New Climate", the foundation cited Salt Spring Coffee in a case study that details the efforts behind the development of the Carbon Cool brand, and how its implementation made them, as DSF notes, "one of the world's first companies to offer its customers a carbon neutral cup of coffee".  The report reveals how Salt Spring Coffee went about achieving its desired zero carbon footprint goal through the implementation of the serious cross-company reductions in carbon emissions and offsets that were necessary to reach carbon neutrality.
