As a company striving toward sustainability, we are continually looking for ways to minimize our environmental impact (and maximize our social benefit). We often get inquiries and complaints that the coffee bags, which carry our organic, fair trade and carbon neutral coffee are not recyclable or compostable. What the heck is wrong with us they say?
What stops us from making fundamental changes to help prevent climate change?
I look at my two small children who have just woken up - one a curious monkey masquerading as a three year old and the other just getting over the shock of being born a month ago. I am wondering how to describe the profound yet simple experience in a community theatre climate change workshop entitled 2Degrees of Fear and Desire that has got me contemplating their future and released me to deepen my commitment to change my life to contribute to a healthier environment.
